Dr. Augusto da Silva completed his Ph.D. at the Delft University of Technology in 2022. He also holds degrees as M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and as B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), respectively. During his academic career, he has worked on research concerning the effects of radiation faults aiming On-Board Computers for Artificial Satellites. Additionally, he has 6 years of experience working in the Aerospace and Defense industry as an embedded software engineer. Dr. Augusto da Silva is working within Cadence since October 2017 as a Functional Safety Specialist.

Dr. Ahmet Cagri Bagbaba

Functional Safety Specialist at Cadence Design Systems

Dr. Bagbaba is a Ph.D. at the Tallinn University of Technology. Also, he obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2013 and 2015 respectively. From 2013 to 2017, he worked as a research assistant in embedded cryptographic hardware design area. In 2017, he was at IMEC as a digital ASIC design engineer. In December 2017, he joined Cadence Design Systems as a Ph.D. candidate and now works as a Functional Safety Specialist.
